Abstract
This research was aimed at determining the effect of metal content on the groundwater in Lapindo disaster area for daily consumption, especially in Glagah Arum and Gedang, Porong regency. X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) spectrometry was used to determine the elements in groundwater sources, as well as pH and Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) testing as supporting data of XRF results and for obtaining other groundwater characteristics. The method used was a random sampling method of four samples, two samples in Glagah Arum village (1A and 1B), and 2 samples in Gedang village (2A and 2B). Based on XRF result, it shows that the content of metallic element was found in only one sample which in Gedang area ie Pb 25,08 m / m%, U 16,08 m / m%, Px 8.04 m / m%, Nb 7,60 m / m%, and In 7.47 m / m%. Then the results of the fourth pH sample are 8:31, 8:23, 6.99, and 8:45. While the TDS results are 0.88 mg / L, 0:18, 0:52 mg / L, and 0.83 mg / L with gravimetric method. The overall results of the test parameters of the four samples show that the samples taken in Glagah Arum and Gedang villages have no harm for daily activity such as washing and cleaning but not for a body consumption so there is no need to be followed up such as socialization.
