Abstract
This research discuss about Code Mixing Used by Teacher and Students of tenth grade of Bahasa Program in SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Tulangan in teaching learning process. This research aimed to find out the type of code mixing and the dominant type of code mixing on teaching process. This research focused on code mixing used by teacher and tenth grade students of Bahasa Program used Hoffman’s Theory about code mixing. The data were analyzed using qualitative method. The researcher used observation and researcher as the instruments to find out the valid data. The findings showed that the researcher found all types code mixing those are; intra sentential code mixing,intra lexical code mixing, and involving change of pronunciation. Teacher and students often used intra sentential code mixing, seldom used intra lexical code mixing and involving change of pronunciation. The commonly type of code mixing used by teacher and studentthat is intra sentential code mixing.
