Abstract
The approaches for finding an idea approximate solution, known as a best proximity point, to the equation , which is certainly unsolvable when is a non-self mapping, can be determined by best proximity point theorems. This paper establishes adequate requirements for the existence of a uniqueness best (optimum) proximity point for Geraghty contractions mappings in double controlled metric space. for new classes of non-self mappings known as generalized proximal contractions. Furthermore, the aforementioned best proximity point theorems can be realized as specific cases of the well-known Banach's contraction principle and more than of its expansions and modifications
