Abstract

Linguistic The Analysis Of Code Switching In Warkop DKI Reborn Movie This present research is conducted to find out the code switching phenomenon which is produced by Abimana, Vino, and Tora in Warkop DKI Reborn movie. This research is aimed to investigate the types of code switching and also the factors influencing code switching produced by the subject. The writer mainly based his research on qualitative approach. The writer got the data from Warkop DKI Reborn movie, especially main actor in Wakop DKI Reborn and he took only Abimana, Vino and Tora utterance. The writer used five steps in analyzing the data. Firstly, the writer observed the “Warkop DKI Reborn” movie by watching and hearing the main actor utterance produced by Dono, Kasino and Indro. Secondly, the writer watch again and hearing the movie which contains of code switching language that used by the main actor Dono, Kasino and Indro on Warkop DKI Reborn. Thirdly, the writer chose the utterances that consisted of code switching. Fourthly, the writer wrote down the data into table. The final step is to analyze the data based on the types and the factors of code switching. After the writer had analyzed Abimana, Vino and Tora’s utterance, the writer found several findings. Abimana, Vino and Tora produced two types and four factors of code switching. The types of code switching were situational code switching and metaphorical code switching. The factors of code switching were participants, solidarity (affective functions), status, and topic. Key words: Code Switching, Types of Code Switching, Factors of Code Switching, Movie
