Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology leads to its application in modern national defense systems which use AI to improve their strategic decision processes and threat identification systems and operational performance and cybersecurity defense systems. The study collected data from 215 participants who included military personnel and cybersecurity experts and intelligence analysts and IT specialists and defense researchers for its quantitative analytical research design. we used a five-point Likert scale to develop a structured questionnaire which they applied for measuring participant views about AI system performance. The study examined five essential elements which consisted of Strategic Decision Making (SDM), Threat Detection (TD), Operational Efficiency (OE), Cybersecurity Strength (CS), and Response Intelligence (RI). Descriptive analysis together with Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis to study both existing relationships and the ability to predict outcomes. Defense systems receive strong positive feedback from users because AI technology provides effective battlefield decision support at 91.2% and surveillance automation at 90.7% and early warning systems at 89.8%. Correlation analysis reveals all variables maintain strong relationships with each other while TD and RI show the highest correlation coefficient at 0.78. The regression analysis shows the model reaches high significance through R² = 0.81 while Threat Detection stands out as the top predictor based on β = 0.44. Artificial Intelligence technology generates better defense capabilities to enhance decision accuracy and operational performance and improve threat detection abilities.
