Abstract
The objective of this research is to examine the effect of international trade patterns with its dimensions of trade openness and integration and trade structure and direction on the green economy in Iraq. In this study, the descriptive-analytical method has been utilized. Questionnaire forms were used as the main tool of data collection from the sample of this study. The analysis of the study results showed a highly positive relationship and statistically significant effect of international trade patterns on the green economy. It has been proved that the regression model has a very high explanatory power as 91.5% of variation of the green economy can be explained by the effect of international trade patterns. According to the research results, the study concludes that all dimensions of international trade patterns have a significant influence on the development of the green economy in Iraq.
