Abstract
A chalazion is a chronic, non-infectious granulomatous inflammation of the meibomian glands, which are sebaceous glands located in the tarsal plates of the eyelids. This article provides an in-depth analysis of the pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, differential diagnosis, and treatment modalities of chalazion. Emphasis is placed on the importance of early diagnosis and effective management to prevent complications and recurrence. The article also discusses current advancements in treatment and ongoing research into this common ocular condition.
