Abstract

Dry Eye Disease (DED) is a prevalent condition characterized by discomfort, visual disturbances, and potential damage to the ocular surface. It arises from an imbalance in the tear film, often due to insufficient tear production or excessive evaporation. This article reviews the pathophysiology, causes, risk factors, clinical manifestations, and current management strategies for DED.
