Abstract
Problems with deviant behavior in values and character, especially in elementary school age children, include: bullying behavior, smoking, truancy, and students tending to skip prayers. This fact requires serious efforts to strengthen character education. This research aims to describe teachers' strategies for internalizing students' religious character values and integrity. This research uses qualitative research with a case study method with a single case conducted at SDI Nurul Hikam Sidoarjo. Data collection uses in-depth interview techniques, observation and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana interactive analysis model which includes components of data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The three streams of data analysis activities are carried out simultaneously, namely from when data collection takes place, until after the research data collection is complete. The results of the research found that the teacher's strategy in internalizing the values of religious character and student integrity uses the strategies of example, habituation, rule enforcement and motivation. This research has an impact on schools and teachers in strengthening character education in the elementary school environment. The novelty of this research lies in the focus of the study on teachers' strategies for strengthening students' character in elementary schools through internalizing religious character values and integrity.
