Abstract

The lymphatic system is directly involved in the exchange processes between blood and intercellular fluid, on the one hand, and intercellular fluid and cells on the other, that is, it serves as a medium connecting metabolic processes in the body. It is multifunctional. This article presents a new understanding of the morphology and functioning of the lymphatic system.
