Abstract
Block Method This paragraph explains the different journal articles written in Pedagogia and JEES Megawati (2016a&2016b). PEDAGOGIA journal is more interesting than JEES. Moreover, the PEDAGOGIA’s cover is very beautiful because there is an orange color combined with gold and white. At a glance the contents of the journal are also displayed on the cover. PEDAGOGIA journal use qualitative method because presenting the difficulties faced by students in learning English and its causes by including the results of observation, and video recording. In the PEDAGOGIA journal there are had pass 7 times development of discussion in different years, for instance in 2011 until 2017. The language used in PEDAGOGIA is Indonesian, so makes easier for readers to understand it. On the other hand, JEES has standart cover because it only displays the title and volume, without any flash even though the color orange is dominant with a little black color. So, the initial impression of the cover looks less attractive or too simple design. JEES use descriptive method because this method describes students' self-efficacy against their writing competence. In the JEES journal there are 2 times development of discussion in different years, for example in 2016 and 2017. The language used in JEES is full with English. Consequently, it’s rather difficult to understand for students. All in all, you can see that PEDAGOGIA journal is more easily understood than JEES.
