Abstract
The contribution of human resources in tourism is very important because the value of the contribution of human resources in Pasuruan can improve the performance of the tourism and the local economy. This type of research used in this study is a qualitative case study method. Location of Culture and Tourism Pasuruan study with eight (8) key informant can obtain accurate information on the understanding of the contribution of human resources in the field of creative industries to improve the performance of tourism. Types of data used is qualitative and quantitative data. Data collection techniques used in the study through interviews, observation, and documentation. Technical analysis of the data using triangulation of data using correlation, data reduction, data display, and conclusion of data. The results show the contribution of human resources in the field of creative industries to improve the performance of tourism can be shown in two ways: (1) The labor force participation rate of the creative economy and (2) the growth of labor productivity in the economy as measured by three indicators: (1) increase the number of visitors tour, (2). maintenance of local arts and culture and (3) the contribution of the business units in sectors of the economy can be said to have increased creative. The role of the creative economy is very important that the presence of the creative economy, can improve the economy, improve social welfare, create new jobs and reduce unemployment.
