Abstract

This research is quantitative research with a correlational approach. This study aims to determine the relationship between psychological well-being and academic self-efficacy in students Madrasah Aliyah Hasan Munadi Beji, Pasuruan. The variables contained in this study are psychological well-being as independent variables and academic self-efficacy as dependent variables. This research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Hasan Munadi Beji, Pasuruan with a sample of 119 students who were selected using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique; a random sampling technique with a balanced amount of each population level. Data collection techniques in this study used two psychological scales with Likert models, namely the scale of psychological well-being and academic self-efficacy. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between psychological well-being and academic self-efficacy in Madrasah Aliyah Hasan Munadi Beji students, Pasuruan. Data analysis was carried out with Spearman Rank correlation technique using SPSS 22.0 for Windows program. The results of the data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0.660 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. This means that there is a positive relationship between psychological well-being and academic self-efficacy. The higher the psychological well-being, the higher the academic self-efficacy. On the contrary, the lower the psychological well-being, the lower the academic self-efficacy.
