Abstract

The research aim to determine whether there is an effect on the treatment by using the pop-up book media to the fifth grade students on social subjects, especially on material of Economic Activities in Indonesia towards students' learning interests. This research was conducted because students often complain and feel bored in social subject. Because the teacher only explained by speech. The researcher try and find out the influence of pop up book in social subject. This research is for fifth grade students at the SD Kreatif The Naff Candi Sidoarjo. The research use a pre-experimental design with type one group pretest-posttest design. Which in this research share pretest and posttest in the form of questionnaires of student learning interest. The population used here is 18 students of fifth grade. On the other hand, there is an influence of pop up book media on the learning process. So the interest of fifth grade students in the SD Kreatif The Naff Candi Sidoarjo with the effect of 0.59 obtained using the Eta squared formula and its interpretation showed a great influence.
