Abstract
Consumerism leads society not t put their consumption on the values they really need but the sign or symbols reflected by the product consumed. in educational context, consumerism has also guide them to choose education based futher and on economical symbolic preferences rather than they truly potentiality and talent. People commonly are not brave and critical enough to resit the existing system eventhough they have constitutinally right to do it. They will be alienated if they do not follow the way of this educational commodification. Consequently, education is not always as Paulo Freire ideal, a medium of humanization, but it may become an affirmative medium for sustainable social discrimination.
