Abstract

The research aims to demonstrate the impact of Functional maturity in enhancing strategic flexibility in government institutions, through its application in the Department of Control and Auditing at the Directorate of Education in Al-Qadisiyyah. The problem stems from the hypothesis that Functional maturity, in its dimensions (interest, curiosity, confidence, consultation), represents a fundamental input for raising the level of strategic flexibility, and that a lack of attention to its development limits the institutions' ability to face environmental and organisational challenges. The importance of the research lies in describing the practical reality and addressing the obstacles that hinder adaptation to changes, thereby enhancing the efficiency of government institutions in achieving their objectives. The research relied on a questionnaire to collect data from a sample of (50) employees, which was analysed using (SPSS V.29) and (AMOS V.29) programmes. The results showed a significant correlation and impact of Functional maturity on strategic flexibility, confirming the necessity of developing its dimensions to enhance the ability of government institutions to respond and adapt to the changing work environment.
