Abstract
This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in the material "Windmills" in Indonesian language lessons in grade III of SDN Kedungrawan II by utilizing YouTube videos as learning media. Using a qualitative case study research method involving participatory observation, semi-structured interviews and documentation, this study revealed that the use of videos from YouTube significantly improved students' motivation and learning outcomes compared to conventional learning methods. Learning videos facilitate students' understanding by providing engaging visualizations and easy-to-understand narratives. In addition, learning videos provide learners with long-term memory through a combination of image and sound animation. Observations show that students are more enthusiastic and understand the material more easily when taught using video media compared to conventional methods. Interviews with teachers and students confirmed that YouTube video media not only attracts attention but also helps students internalize complex concepts. These findings support the integration of digital technology in basic education, particularly in Indonesian language learning. This study provides evidence that YouTube video media can be an effective tool in improving the quality of education, provided there is adequate infrastructure support, quality video content, and proper training for teachers.
