Abstract

The oil and gas industry plays a critical role in the global economy, yet it faces increasing scrutiny regarding its environmental and ethical responsibilities. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and ethical governance are integral to sustainable drilling operations, both offshore and onshore. This article explores the principles, challenges, and best practices in CSR and ethical governance within the context of drilling operations. By analyzing industry trends, regulatory frameworks, and corporate case studies, we provide insights into how companies can balance economic performance with environmental stewardship and social accountability. Implementing robust CSR policies and ethical governance structures not only enhances corporate reputation but also mitigates risks, fosters stakeholder trust, and contributes to long-term sustainability.
