Abstract

Linguistic research focuses intensely on semantic distinctions that appear in articles of English and Uzbek language. Articles within English grammar serve as fundamental indicators to interpret nominal specificity and definiteness and countability. The Uzbek language lacks similar elements to English articles yet projects understanding through alternative grammatical methods including word placement and context-dependent usages of case markers. The contrasting methods of using articles between these languages demonstrates the wider linguistic differences between English and Uzbek. The English language depends on articles for noun reference clarification yet Uzbek language defines meaning through contextual understanding. The article examines how English employs articles for semantic purposes then compares this method to Uzbek language semantics focusing on translation issues and understanding difficulties between these languages. This research adds to knowledge about variations between languages regarding article employment as well as their impact on both language education and translation practice
