Abstract

The automotive industry has witnessed a remarkable transformation with the advent of advanced software and technology. These innovations have revolutionized vehicle performance, safety, and convenience, paving the way for autonomous driving, intelligent infotainment systems, and enhanced connectivity. However, the integration of complex software systems has also introduced vulnerabilities that can lead to failures, impacting functionality, safety, and customer trust. This paper examines the common causes of software and technology failures in the automotive industry, their implications, and strategies for mitigation. Drawing from notable case studies and recent advancements, the paper proposes actionable solutions to address these challenges and enhance the reliability of automotive software systems in the future.
