Abstract

Liver cirrhosis is a chronic, polyetiological, progressive liver disease that is characterised by a significant decrease in the number of functioning hepatocytes, increasing fibrosis, rearrangement of the normal structure of the parenchyma and subsequent development of liver failure and portal hypertension
