Abstract

This article explores the significance of teaching writing to English language learners (ELLs). Writing is a fundamental skill in language acquisition, offering a structured platform for students to practice language structures, vocabulary, and grammar. This paper reviews research on the impact of writing instruction on language proficiency, explores methodologies used in teaching writing to ELLs, and examines case studies illustrating various techniques. Findings underscore the importance of integrating writing exercises into the curriculum to enhance linguistic competence, critical thinking,and academic success
