Abstract

Biofertilizer is the right solution to overcome the decline in plant fertility in eggplant plants because it can improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil. This research aims to find out how effective biological fertilizer is on eggplant plants, which represent the type of test plant. The methods used include isolation and identification of biological agents, formulations, performance tests, as well as describing the projected use of Trichoderma biofertilizers in durian and coffee nurseries. The biological agent fungus determined is Trichoderma sp. Tc-051. Application of a bulk solid formula with biocarrier material effectively helped the growth of eggplant seedlings as test plants by increasing the height and number of leaves by 71.21 and 22.53% respectively. Biofetilizer has the potential to be used for cultivating durian seedlings and typical Wonosalam coffee, the production of which can be collaborated between farmer groups and the Agrotechnology Study Program at Muhammadiya Sidoarjo University (MSIDA) supported by the UMSIDA Microbiology and Biotechnology Laboratory
