Abstract

The experiment was carried out to determinate the effect of combination of the growth media, EM4 and VA mycorrhiza toward the growth, root nodul and intensity of the mycorhiza’s root infection of Paraserianthes falcataria seedling. This research was conducted in the plastic chamber and The Malang Agricultural Institute Laboratory from May up to August 1997. It applied Complete Randomized Design in factorial experiment with three replications. The first factor was growth media as cow faeces manure, goat faeces manure, cook faeces manure, and compost; the second factor was EM4 concentrate as used EM4 and without EM4; and the third factor was VA mycorrhyza as Gigaspora maragarita and Glomus sp. For the differential test of treatment, it was applied the Duncan 5 % test. Results of the experiment indicated that growth media and EM4 significantly effect toward the high, stem diameter, dry weight and nodul dry weight of seedling. The VA mycorrhiza improved plant high on 6 MSP and root nodul dry weight. The compost medium significantly improved the all parameters, except to intencity of mycorrhizas infection, it’s combination with other treatments significantly effect toward the all parameters.
