Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tanah bermikoriza terhadap pertumbuhan anakan Swietenia macrophylla King. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Ngenep Malang mulai Juni sampai September 1996 pada 575 m dpl., dan suhu rata-rata 23-29°C. Penelitian ini mengunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan berupa pemberian tanah bermikoriza yang terdiridari: 0 g/polybag (D0), 40 g/polybag (D1), 80 g/polybag (D2), 120 g/polybag (D3) dengan enam kali ulangan. Data dianalisis dengan sidik ragam; untuk membandingkan nilai rata-rata antarperlakuan digunakan Uji Beda Nyata 5 %. Pemberian tanah bermikoriza sebanyak 120 g menunjukkan pertumbuhan tanaman yang terbaik yaitu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman sampai 83,84%, pertumbuhan diameter 72,49%, pertambahan berat basah dan berat kering anakan sampai 56,06% dan 52,11%, pertambahan berat basah akar 36,68% dan berat kering akar 39,73%, serta meningkatkan nilai prosen pori tanah atau cenderung menurunkan nilai beratisi tanah. The experiment was carried out to determinated the effect of mycorrhiza’s soil treatment toward the growth of mahagony Sweitenia macrophylla King. This research was conducted from June up to September 1996 Ngenep village Malang on the 575 meters usl.’s elevation place with average temperature 23-29°C. This research applied Complitely Randomized Design with four mycorhiza,s soil treatments were: 0 g/polybag (D0), 40 g/polybag (D1), 80 g/polybag (D2), and 120 g/polybag (D3) comprising six repetitions. For the differential test of treatment, it was apllied BNT test 5%. The 120 g of mycorhiza’s soil treatment shown the best plant growth e.g. increased plant hight up to 83.84%, plant diameter up to 72.49%, increased wet and dry weight of seedlings up to 56,06% and 52,11%, and wet and dry root weight up to 36,73%, and increased soil pores percentage or decrease the soil volume.
